Daryl Hendershot

Daryl Lynn Hendershot, age 74, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his home.

Born Saturday, December 19, 1942, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Kenneth Ellsworth and Stella Virginia (Barnhart) Hendershot, and the widower of Sharon A. (Hammond) Hendershot, whom he married July 18, 1964 and who passed away on July 31, 2004.

He was a retired Vice-President of Operations for Bri-Mar Manufacturing, in Chambersburg, Pa.

He attended the Hancock Presbyterian Church, and was the president of the Warfordsburg Presbyterian Cemetery Association.

He was an avid fan of the Southern Fulton Athletic program.

He is survived by two sons, Derek J. Hendershot and Daren K. Hendershot, both of Warfordsburg; a daughter, Dawn H. Palmer and her husband, Scott, of Greencastle, Pa.; two grandchildren, Meghin Boryan and her husband, Chris, of Mercersburg, Pa., and Marissa Palmer, of Greencastle; a brother, Earl J. Hendershot, of Warfordsburg; and a sister, Lois Lee Mellott, of Warfordsburg.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul A. Hendershot.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hancock Presbyterian Church, 17 East Main Street, in Hancock, Md. Pastor Terry Martin-Minnich will officiate.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Hancock Presbyterian Church, or to the Southern Fulton Education Foundation, in memory of Daryl Lynn Hendershot, 13083 Buck Valley Road, Warfordsburg, Pa. 17267
