Clifford Hartley

Clifford Malcom Hartley,age 74 years 4 months and 9 daysof Hagerstown, MD, died Thursday October 15, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD.
Born Thursday, June 6, 1935 in Cumberland, Maryland, he was the son of the late Cross and Ora Whitfield Hartley. He was preceded in death by his brother George Hartley.
He is survived by his beloved wife Leticia,whom he married May 4, 1995 in Upper Marlboro, MD, sister-in-law Evelyn, sister Geraldine and husband Harold Morris, twin  brother Clinton and wife Darla Hartley, nieces; Lois Akers, Karen Sawyer, Bonnie Faust, nephews; Steve, David, Andy and Douglas Hartley, Dale, Sheldon and Kevin Morris, father-in-law Gervacio Butay and family, his friends Ladd,Tessie Shell and Family.
He retired from NOAA as Oceanographer fro 41 years in Silver Spring, MD.
The Family received friends Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home 141 w. Main St., Hancock, MD, where funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 10:30 a.m.
