Cindy Socks

Cindy Socks, age 66, of Hancock, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at her home, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born August 17, 1950, in New York.

She is survived by her husband, Larry C. Socks; three daughters, Bobby Jo Williams, and Mary Beth Prenpice, both of New York, and Lucinda Crabbe, of Hagerstown, Md.; six grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Kathrine, Brandon, Tia and Colby; and several great-grandchildren.

She received an Associate Degree in Nursing.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had worked for the Roxbury Correctional Institution in their Medical Unit.

She was a member of Bethel Community Church, in Warfordsburg, Pa., where she served as the parish nurse.

She was a volunteer with Hospice.

She enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, and baking.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at the Bethel Community Church. Pastor Gary Quackenbos will officiate

Friends will be received at the Church one hour prior to the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Community Church, 1040 Bethel Church Road, Warfordsburg, Pa. 17267.
