Chester Feagley, Sr.

Chester Dewey Feagley, Sr., age 77, died on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at  the Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.

Born April 14, 1939, in Big Cove Tannery, Pa., he was the son of the late William Chester and Ruth (Truax) Feagley. He was the widower of his first wife, the late Beverly (Souders) Feagley; and he’s survived by his second wife, Betty (Golden) Feagley, whom he married July 15, 1999, in Winchester, Va.

He was a 1957 graduate of Central Fulton High School, and a veteran of the US Army.

He retired from Grove Manufacturing, in Shady Grove, Pa.

In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Feagley, of McConnellsburg, Pa.; three sons, Brian Feagley, of St. Thomas, Pa., Bill Feagley, of Kansas and Chester D. Feagley, Jr., of McConnellsburg, Pa.; three sisters, Nancy Lynch and Polly Mumma, both of McConnellsburg, Pa. and Markay Stitely, of Chambersburg, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and first wife, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Sherman and Parker Feagley.

The family will received friends on Monday, February 6, 2017, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the Hancock Assembly of God Church, 431 Pennsylvania Ave., Hancock, Md.

Funeral services will be held at the Church, on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 2:00 P.m., with Rev. Delmas F.Bard officiating. Burial, with military honors by the Fulton Honor Guard, will follow in the Union Cemetery, in McConnellsburg, Pa.
