Carol Virginia (Hatton) Martin, age 77, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the Winchester Medical Center, in Winchester, Va.

She was born December 29, 1943, in Baltimore, Md., the daughter of the late Leona Marie Johnson Divelbliss and step-father, Earl Elmer Divelbliss; and the widow of Mark Delano Martin, whom she married on June 26, 1965 in the Hancock Presbyterian Church, and who died on December 2, 2010.

She was a graduate of Hancock High School with the class of 1962; and was employed by the National Restaurant in Hancock for ten years. Carol was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake, and babysit all of her grandchildren.

She attended the Hancock Assembly of God Church, since 2004, and became a member in 2018.

She is survived by one son, Darren Lynn Martin and his wife, Michille Renea Martin, of Hancock; and one daughter, Krista Dawn Murray and her husband David Blake Murray, of Needmore, Pa.; four grandchildren, Ethan Tyler Martin, Jessica Calene Vanorsdale and her husband, Seth Logan Vanorsdale, Hunter Martin Murray and Jacob Martin Murray; two sisters, Linda M. Landers and her husband, Joe, of Mercersburg, Pa., and Kay L. Sinclair and her husband, Wayne, of Hancock; two brothers, Earl D. Divelbliss and his wife, Jeannie, of Martinez, Ga.,  and Stanley R. Divelbliss and his wife, Donna, of Fawn Grove, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Public viewing, without family in attendance, will be at the Hancock Assembly of God Church, 431 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Hancock, Md., on Thursday, March 4, 2021, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. There will be a private funeral service on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.  The service may be viewed on the live feed of the Hancock Assembly of God's Facebook page.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Hancock Assembly of God Church at the above address.
