Carla Ann Wright, age 51, formerly of Hancock, Md., died January 8, 2013, at Western Maryland Health Systems, in Cumberland, Md.

Born April 22, 1961, in Kensington, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Effie Mae Wright.

She was a church volunteer and a school volunteer.

She is survived by her grandmother, Dorothy Pekny, of Hancock; an uncle, Joseph E. Pekny; an aunt, Jeanne M. Pekny, of College Park, Md.; cousins, Jennifer L. Broadwater, and Christopher J. Pekny; and her church family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 14, at 1:00 p.m., at Berkeley Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Hal Butman will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
