Bonnie Ann Haynes, age 72, of Hancock, Md., died on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.

Born Monday, November 6, 1944, in Keyser, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Asbury and Maxine (Wheeler) Hoopengardner;  and  the widow of Joseph Carl Haynes, whom she married on December 22, 1968 at the Hancock United Methodist Church  in Hancock, and who died on November 10, 2016.

She was a graduate of Flintstone High School with the class of 1962, and received an associate degree from the Allegany College of Maryland.

She worked at Arc of Washington County, and had previously been employed at Londontown in Hancock, prior to it closing.

She is survived by one daughter, Holli A. Haynes, of Hancock; a granddaughter, Maizi Haynes, of Hancock; a grandson, Daniel Lee Keefer, of Hancock; a brother, Barry Hoopengardner, of Flintstone, Md.; and a sister, Cathy Mullins, of Manassas, Va.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2106, from 5 until 7:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Barbara Suffecool will officiate
