Bernard Shaw

Bernard William "Uncle Bud" Shaw age 75 years 4 months and 18 days of 1062 Timber Ridge Road, went to be with the Lord Tuesday July 28, 2009 at his home.
Born Saturday, March 10, 1934 in Thompson Township, PA, he was the son of the late William Edward and Ethel Regina Roberta Fisher Shaw.
He was retired in 1994 from Glatfelter Pulpwood, in Hancock, MD.
He had previously owned and operated Shaw's Custom Backhoe Service.
He was a member of the NRA; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his family and friends. He was a life member of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church Hancock, MD.
He is survived by his loving wife, Violet A. Hull Shaw whom he married March 7, 1953 in Big Pool, MD, two sons, William R. Shaw, Craig E. Shaw and wife Becky all of Needmore, PA, one sister, Nanette Malarkey of Downey, CA, one brother, James E. Shaw and wife Jane of Needmore, PA, three grandchildren, William R. Shaw, II, Jennifer L. Shaw and Rachel Shaw of Needmore, PA, two great grandsons, Payten Wayne Price and Ean Jacob Shaw, also a number of nieces and nephews.
A service was held Saturday August 1, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, Hancock, MD, Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt, Jr., Rev. Don Preston and Rev. John Winckler officiated. Burial was in the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Thompson Road, Needmore, PA.
The family received friends at the Hancock Assembly of God Church, PA. Avenue, Hancock, MD, Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
