Barbara Jane Reed, age 74, of Big Pool Md., passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Saturday, February 13, 1943, in Big Pool, she was the daughter of the late Alonza R. and Alice E. (Reed) Hart, and the wife, for 49 years, of Ronnie W. Reed, whom she married July 13, 1968.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Stephanie D. Reed, of Big Pool; one son, Shawn W. Reed and his wife, Shianna, of Hancock, Md.; four grandchildren, Daniel Guyer, Sydney Norris, Hannah Taylor, and Chase Reed; four great-grandchildren, Cody Halliday, Barrett Guyer, Kleora Taylor, and Zoey Norris; and three brothers, Leroy Hart, Paul Hart and Gary Hart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Gladhill.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Parkhead Cemetery,  National Pike Big Pool, MD. Chaplin Jeff Casto will officiate.

Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md.
