Barbara Gale Beaver

Barbara Gale Beaver, age 62, of Hancock, MD, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, in Hagerstown, MD.

Born Wednesday, December 12, 1962, in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chalmer Troxell and Nancy Fonner.

Barbara was a graduate of Williamsburg High School, Williamsburg, PA, Class of 1980. She went on to work for Shives Pizza for many years. She was also a Washington County Substitute Teacher. She worked as a Medical Records Specialist for Robinwood Orthopedics and a Medical Records Specialist at Tri-State Community Health Center.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of forty years, Gary Beaver; children, Carrie Swisher and husband Stanley, Dana Souders and husband Tim, Steven Beaver and wife Alisah; grandchildren, Destini Golden and husband Hunter, Colton Souders, Levi Souders, Amelia Beaver; great-grandson, Wyatt Golden; one sister, Patty Rodgers; brothers, Larry Troxell and wife Marge, Calvin Troxell, Jaime Fonner; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother-in-law, Fred Rodgers.

A celebration of life for Barbara will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, MD 21750. A gathering of friends will be held one hour prior. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
