Arthur “Norty” Lucas passed from this life at Winchester Medical Center on September 5, 2025. He was born on December 14, 1946, to Arthur and Idella Trail Lucas of Hancock, Md.
Norty delivered for United Parcel Service for thirty-five years and was President of the Local 992 Teamsters at his retirement. Norty was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the 26 Post of the American Legion in Hancock, Md.
He loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, trapping, and harvesting Ginseng. He had a love of animals, especially horses and his loyal team of hunting beagles. Most of all, he loved his family. He had a quick wit, a great sense of humor, and always had a blistering comeback on the ready. No matter how down you felt, he could always make you laugh.

Preceding him were his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Bonnie Caton Lucas; his second wife, Roxanne Kayser Lucas; and his sister, Sandy Lucas.
