Arthur Francis Gorman, Jr., age 85, of Hancock, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Md.
Born February 21, 1926, in Plainfield, N.J., he was the son of the late Arthur Francis Gorman, Sr. and Sadie May Ferguson Gorman, and the widower of Marion Alice Cordes Gorman, who died in 2005.
He was retired from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown, Md.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, in Hagerstown, Md., and Conway, S.C.
He was a member of the U.A.W. in Hagerstown, Md., and the Elks Club in Hagerstown, Md., and Conway, S.C.
He is survived by two sons, Arthur Francis Gorman, lll, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Edward Allan Gorman, of Port Saint Lucie, Fl.; two daughters, Barbara Jeanne Stokes, of Hancock, Md., and Karen Ann Allan, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three sisters, Ruthie Ross, of Nasua, N.H., Delores Mowbray, and Jeanne DeMathews, both of Port Saint Lucie, Fl.; five grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
