Aris Thourl “Bud” Miller, age 80, of Big Pool, Md., passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at the Washington Hospital Center, in Washington, DC.

Born Sunday, April 17, 1938, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late Wilbur and Carrie (Mills) Miller, and the husband of Janet (Smith) Miller for 56 years.

Bud was retired, after 45 years of employment with C. William Hetzer, Inc., where he was a heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Janice DeShong, of Big Pool, Md.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Terry Goodwin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Parkhead Cemetery, in Big Pool.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6 until 8:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home.
