Allen Myers

Allen Lee Myers, age 61, of Hancock, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Berkeley Springs Rehab and Nursing, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born June 2, 1951, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of Paul A. Myers and the late Gladys Kennedy Myers.

He was a veteran, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was retired from the Maryland State Highway Administration.

He was a member of the Webster B. Harrison Post #26 American legion, in Hancock, and attended Grace Christian Fellowship Church, also in Hancock.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Ellen Bishop Myers; one son, Christopher Allen Myers, of Hancock; two sisters, Mary Lee Taylor, of Hagerstown, and Elizabeth Kline, of Myersville, Md.

Service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Saturday, January 26, from 4 to 6 p.m.
