Alice Pearl Truax

Alice Pearl Truax, 87, of Warfordsburg, PA, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, in Williamsport, MD.

Born Tuesday, June 27, 1939, in Fulton County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Bathelow Everts.

Alice worked for London Fog as a seamstress for over twenty-four years. She was of Christian faith. She enjoyed camping and loved her cats.

She is survived by her four children, Dorothy Bowser and husband Alan B. Sr. of Altoona, PA, Michael F. Truax and wife Sherri of Warfordsburg, PA, Alice M. Lynch and husband Jeff of Needmore, PA, and Janet L. Breeden and friend Jason Morrison of Warfordsburg, PA; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eddie Everts and Denny Everts; four sisters, Bessie Wills, Betty Bishop, Daisy Wertz, and Tammy Kyne.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband George Sam Truax; one son, Samuel W. Truax; one brother, Jacob Everts; and two sisters, Helen Wink and Mary Hurst.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 W Main St, Hancock, MD 21750.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00a.m. with one-hour prior visitation at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 3013 Pleasant Grove Rd, Warfordsburg, PA 17267. Pastor Brandon Hill will officiate.
