Alfred R. “Jim” Decker, Jr., Age 76, of Warfordsburg, went to join the love of his life on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, in Hershey, Pa.

Born August 20, 1936, in Bethel Township, Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late Alfred R. Decker, Sr. and Emma Smith Decker, and was the husband of the late Nancy Lee Clevenger Decker, whom he married October 3, 1959, in Winchester, Va., and who passed away March 13, 1999.

He was retired from B & P Motor Express, in Crystal Spring, Pa., as a diesel mechanic, and had been employed by the former Highway Petroleum in Hancock.

Jim was a member of the Jerusalem Christian Church, in Warfordsburg, Pa.; a 1954 graduate of Warfordsburg High School; was a Brush Creek Township Supervisor for 6 years; a veteran of the Korean War; Commander of VFW Post 8333 in Breezwood, Pa. for 10 years; and honorary Mayor of Flickerville, Pa.

He is survived by two daughters; Debbie Hixon and husband, Pud, and Tracy Decker and friend, Connie Banks, both of Warfordsburg; one son, Jeff Decker and companion, Vicki Sharrow, of Gaylord, Mi.; one sister, Cora Clingerman, of Warfordsburg; five grandchildren, Jesi, Tia, Brandon, P.J., and Mandy; and one great-granddaughter, Lucille.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Leotta Omps, Bertha Deneen, Beulah Rohrbaugh; and one brother, Bud Decker.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Jerusalem Christian Church, Warfordsburg, Pa. Rev. Delmas Bard will officiate.  Burial, with military honors by the VFW Post 8333 Breezwood, Pa., will follow in the Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., and at the Church on Monday, from 10 to 11:00 a.m.
