Ada Arlene Fletcher, age 74, of Warfordsburg, died on Friday, November 28, 2014, at the home of her daughter.
Born December 3, 1939 in Hancock, Md., she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Helen Swagger Hendershot, and the widow of the late Carl Alvin Fletcher, who died November 3, 2010.
She was an L.P. Nurse that cared for children and adults with challenges.
She was a member of the Buck Valley Christian Church; a member of the Red Hat Society; a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; and a member of the Warfordsburg Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by her children, Carla Long, of Buck Valley, Pa., Aubrey Fletcher, of Marion Station, Md., Aletha Bageant, of New Carrollton, Md., Adriel Fletcher, and Alanna Fletcher, both of Buck Valley, Pa.; six grandchildren; three sisters, Julia Hixon, of Buck Valley, Pa., Dorothy Bostwik, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Doris Elbin, of Venice, Fla.; three brothers, Albert Hendershot, of Cumberland, Md., Paul Hendershot, of Ohio, and Robert Hendershot, of Buck Valley, Pa.
A service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. Rev. Dick Bernhard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Buck Valley Christian Cemetery, 2281 Harmonia Road, Warfordsburg, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
